"I Really Like Goats! shutterstock_2131979

I was born and raised in Mississippi.  The amazing flora and fauna 'down South' created a love for all the 'wild things'.  Even though the South is stunningly beautiful, and full of warm hearted people with a rich and charming vernacular, I was intrigued by photos showing the glow of the Northern Lights, glaciers, and animals with snow colored coats.  My imagination and desire for a cooler climate found a home out West.

I studied Zoology at Oregon State University with a continuously expanding desire for more knowledge.  During my studies, many professors, mentors, and friends guided my interests toward physics, english literature and biochemistry.  After graduation, I studied Nuclear medicine from a clinical perspective in Portland, Oregon.  It was an amazing adventure, and sparked a passion for a deeper understanding of biophysics and quantum theory.  Following a completion of the Nuclear Medicine program, I worked at Kaiser in Nuclear Medicine, and eventually moved into a position at OHSU in Health/Medical Physics, and consulting at the Vollum Institute in Environmental Health and Radiation Safety.  During my happy days at the OHSU campus, I became interested in alternative medicine and began a graduate study in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.  I left OHSU in 2002 to pursue a new paradigm, a new focus, and a harnessed intent to create a positive, healthy, unique healing environment for all of my patients.

Through my years of practice, I find a continued gravitation toward the 'knowing' of healing through conscious intention.  The power of our consciousness is infinite, and our role in the creation of our own experience is a given.  I am thankful for all the patients who have taught me this power through their own healing.

I find myself in deep gratitude for all of life's wonders...'here are a few of my favorite things':

My parents, sister, and brother are my heroes.  They helped create the possibilities that gave me the courage to follow my dreams.

My husband, Moon, is a grounding force beyond measure.   His love, laughter, kindness & support are an enduring treasure.

My son Devon is the epitome of positivity, evidence that the future will be grand, and a moment by moment reason to smile.

I am in awe of all those who trust me with their body, mind and spirit.  Their generosity and love is boundless and the ultimate measure of healing.

Thank you to everyone for keeping me silly."
